Yamato Restaurant, located conveniently in the Dunn Plaza Shopping Center, is the only Japanese Restaurant in town and an excellent pick. The veteran restaurant owners Koon Hai and Mieng Wang have transformed the existing building into a trip to Japan. With at-table preparation of its food, the restaurant is a people pleaser and offers an array of Japanese steak dishes, noodle dishes and lots of sushi. The grill is in the center of the restaurant so you can watch as your steak sizzles. The food is all very authentic. It's open for lunch and dinner. And one other thing, it's very moderately priced.

A real family Southern-style restaurant, Kim cooks up the best barbecue in town. She also does a mean Southern fried chicken, which her customers rave about. The restaurant is an institution since it has been in Dunn so long. It's also famous for its pork chops and fried fish. The portions are huge while the prices are reasonable. There's no reason not to stop by after freshening up at your Dunn bed and breakfast.
