This is a great choice when looking for a more upscale experience in Port Jefferson restaurants. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very romantic with light wood accents, plenty of fresh flowers and well-positioned pieces of art. Established in 1991, Pasta Pasta has been serving Italian cuisine that makes the best use of the local fish, seafood and produce to create pastas and pizzas with an unique twist. Head Chef and Co-Owner Steven Sands has traveled many times to Tuscany in Italy to gather fresh ideas to incorporate back at Pasta Pasta. Lunch is served from Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. BBOnline recommends the bruschetta and the pear salad as ideas for appetizers, while the rigatoni with vodka sauce and the ravioli parmigiana as ideas for main entrees. Reservations are highly recommended.

Within walking distance or short driving distance from more than one Port Jefferson Bed and Breakfast, the Toast Coffee House is a great alternative for those traveling on a budget. The average price of any meal is about $15.00. Even though this coffee house is a must visit for breakfast (think amazing breakfast burritos and fresh fruit salads), the Friday and Saturday night menu is an even bigger crowd magnet with a a big selection of Spanish inspired tapas, fondue, cheese and dessert plates and a wide selection of wines. The atmosphere of the Toast Coffee House is very hip and it showcases art exhibitions on the weekends. If you're planning to visit this coffee house on Friday night, make sure to make a reservation and arrive early because the place gets really crowded when a famous local artist is showcasing his or her work.
