Named after a city in Scotland, Dundee is a village in Yates County, New York. It is located in the Town of Starkey in the Finger Lakes Region, 4 miles west of Seneca Lake. The first winery on Seneca Lake, Glenora Wine Cellars first opened in 1977. Today, it is a critically acclaimed winery, one that features a wide selection of award-winning wine, a picturesque view of the lake to accompany its wine tasting events and a pleasant staff knowledgeable about the wine they sell. Their wine list includes, among others, Cabernet Sauvignon-Mason Vineyard 2007 for $39.99, Golden Glen Chardonnay for $13.99, Sangiovese for $16.99 and their Signature - a premium blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling - for $17.99. They have white wines such as Cuvée Blanc for $13.49; sweet whites like Liquid Wisdom for $7.99; red wines like Cabernet Sauvignon for $16.49; and specialty reds like Red Hoot for $9.99. They offer a 10% discount if you purchase more than 6 bottles and a 15% discount if you purchase a case.

A family owned and operated winery between Glenora Wine Cellars and Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyards, Villa Bellangelo offers red wines like Francesca Rossa 2007 for $12.99; white wines like Moscato 2009 for $16.99; port like Porto Elena 2006 for $23.99; and sweet scooter wines like Pink Scooter 2006 for $8.99. They likewise sell gift certificates, shirts and books, if you'd like to take a souvenir back to your Dundee inn. From May to November, the winery is open from 10 am to 5 pm daily. From December to April, the tasting room is open from 10 am to 5 pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
