There are a number of New Jersey Shore beaches near Long Branch. Long Branch was New Jersey's first seaside resort area from about 1860 to the early 1940s. It was once one of the most glamorous areas of the Jersey Shore. As of 2011, Long Branch is still one of the largest seaside cities in New Jersey and is home to a number of popular beaches, a newly constructed boardwalk and a 33-acre park area.

Close to a variety of Long Branch bed and breakfast accommodations, the Long Branch beaches feature a new boardwalk area for visitors in addition to full handicapped accessibility. This New Jersey Shore beach boasts more than two miles of coastline in addition to the new 33-acre Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. You'll find areas for beach volleyball, a boardwalk cafe, public restrooms, on-duty lifeguards and picnic areas.
This oceanfront park also features a skate-plex area for skateboarders and BMX cyclists. There is a small boat launch available for anyone wishing to fish or go boating. If you're looking for a bit of oceanside pampering, there is even a local spa at the Ocean Palace Resort which is right near the beach.
Sandy Hook Beaches

Sandy Hook is located just eight miles north of Long Branch and features three New Jersey Shore beaches that stretch approximately seven miles along New Jersey's breathtaking shoreline. North Beach, Gunnison Beach and South Beach all feature on-duty life guards, public restrooms and snack bars. No animals are permitted at the beach until after Labor Day. Sandy Hook is also home to the Twin Lighthouses of the Highlands and a 1,665-acre barrier peninsula that boasts views of Manhattan's gorgeous skyline. Visitors who come here enjoy birdwatching, surfing, fishing, scuba diving and windsailing.

Monmouth Beach, NJ 07750
Located just three miles north of your Long Branch inn, Monmouth Beach is situated at the northeastern corner of Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. Since the early 1990s, the Monmouth community has worked on a beach replenishment project to assist with what used to be just a narrow strip of sand. As of 2011, these New Jersey Shore beaches are now expanded to a wide stretch of beach area where thousands of people flock annually to soak up the rays. Lifeguards are on duty at this beach from the end of May to early September. Daily swimming hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Amenities include fishing, picnicking, beachcombing and volleyball.

Deal Beaches are about four miles south of Long Branch and feature full handicapped accessibility, bath houses and showers, public restrooms, covered picnic areas and a snack bar. Popular activities at this New Jersey Shore beach include surfing, fishing, volleyball and tennis. The seaside town of Deal is admired for its beautiful homes and perfectly manicured yards.
