Monadnock State Park

This massive 5,000-acre state park is located on Monadnock Mountain. It features more than 40 miles of hiking trails that lead through lush vegetation and scenic views. The trails range in difficulty, so use the trail map as a guide if you prefer easier routes. At the end of the trails is an enormous rock summit. This summit provides amazing views of the surrounding New England states.
Trail maps and park information is available at the visitor center. Before you take on the trails at the park, contact the park for weather conditions. If you arrive during the spring, rain and mud may make it difficult to travel the trails. Also inquire about park fees and entry times.
Miller State Park

This state park is the oldest in New Hampshire and is located in nearby Peterborough. Miller State Park has several Monadnock trails to hike: Wapack, Raymond and Marion Davis. All trails lead to the summit of Pack Monadnock. Many of the trails at the state park are easy enough for novice hikers. There are harder trails if you're more experienced and prefer challenges. Rhododendron State Park

Rhododendron State Park is open all year round. It features more than 2,700 acres of wildflowers, trail systems and forest. The trails are mainly for hiking activities. One particular trail that you'll encounter is the Wildflower Trail. This neat trail is surrounded by the native flowers of the park. Although this trail is small, it does lead to longer trails that connect to Rhododendron State Park.
Annett Wayside Park
Annett Wayside Park has Monadnock trails south of your Jaffrey Bed and Breakfast accommodations. The park has 15 acres of hiking and biking trails for you to explore. You'll find most of the trails to be easy to mountain bike ride or hike. Most visitors consider the trails to be fairly easy; however, the hills seem more challenging to them. These challenges are also based on your physical condition. It's recommended that you be in good health to take on the hills. It shouldn't take you more than two hours to complete your journey.
