The Ord Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in the city. Built in 1915, this golf facility is a 9-hole municipal course that has undergone various changes over the years. Originally, the course was made of sand greens but it was upgraded to grass greens in 1964. Its 2,390 yards, par 33/36 was the venue of the 1958 Nebraska Sand Green Tournaments for both the men's and women's division. Despite the changes, the course maintained some of its original features like the elevation levels, mature trees, Dane Creek in the shot-makers course and so on. There was an added pond for irrigation, giving the golfer some water to negotiate on eight of the nine holes.

This golf course offers varied challenges that even the most skilled player will find exhilarating. Apart from the golf itself, it's wonderful as a park and relaxation area. It's no wonder people flock to this course for family or group outings and corporate team building activities. The features of the golf club include bent grass greens, a practice putting green, practice chipping green, practice bunker, soft spike only facility and more.
