The building itself is a sight to behold, originally built in 1867 by German immigrants as a Lutheran Evangelical Church. The wine is produced on the first floor of this Weston Winery, where guests can witness the process of aging and bottling that takes place. On the second floor, visitors may enjoy wine tastings and a charming gift shop. The winery also offers a wine garden, where you can partake in an array of Pirtle's fine wines, along with an assortment of breads, cheeses, fruits and summer sausage. Pirtle Winery is located in the Weston Historic District and is open seven days a week for your viewing and tasting pleasure. After a tour, guests can also enjoy a meal at the four-star Vineyards Restaurant, located next door to the Weston winery.

If an ice-cold brew is more your style, the Weston Brewing Company is not far from your Weston bed and breakfast. This historic brewery dates all the way back to the middle of the 19th century. The brewery was started by a German immigrant, John Georgian, who brought the tradition of lager brewing into this country. Over the years, the brewery has seen many changes, survived prohibition and expanded to meet the needs of its loyal clientele. Today, the Weston Brewing Company continues to create popular handcrafted brews, and visitors are welcomed into the brewery on Saturdays to witness the process in action. In addition to a tour of the brewery, guests are treated to a walking tour of Weston and a beer tasting. Many guests come to check out the brewery's flagship beer, O'Malley's Irish Cream Ale, which exemplifies the tradition of brewing that began here.
