Shop, Dine, & More at Shreveport's Boardwalk

The Shreveport Boardwalk is a major tourist attraction that not only offers great retail stores, but also houses good restaurants and other options for entertainment. The Shreveport Boardwalk is nearby several casinos such as the Harrah's Louisiana Downs and the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel. There is more than one Shreveport Bed and Breakfast within a short drive from the Shreveport Boardwalk. BBOnline recommends visiting the stores of the Louisiana Boardwalk for shopping, the Olive Street Bistro for eating and the Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center for some family friendly fun.

This is a 650,000 square foot (51,000 square meter) facility that includes well known retailers such as Banana Republic, Nike and Haggar. The Shreveport Boardwalk has a great view of the Red River and it is the first shopping center in Louisiana to offer both outlet stores and casinos at the same time. While the ladies may be really excited about the hundreds of stores available, children and gentlemen might not be as enthusiastic. The good news is that at the Louisiana Boardwalk children will find a bowling alley and a cinema, while gentlemen will find a variety of bars and restaurants. Please note that children under 16 are not allowed to be at the boardwalk after 8:00 p.m. without the supervision of a parent or guardian. For those looking not to miss any of the great deals, there is an on-site Hilton Hotel at the Boardwalk.
