Riverview at Hobson Grove
100 West Main Avenue
Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101

Travel from your McDaniels Bed and Breakfast to this historic home. Grand architecture and a battle-soaked past await. Riverview at Hobson Grove (more affectionately named Hobson House) was begun in 1850, but construction was soon halted by the approach of the Civil War. What was meant to be a family homestead soon became a Confederate stronghold. It kept soldiers, ammunitions and supplies until the terrible time was done. Now Hobson House stands as a tribute to the past. Its brick-facing hides impressive ceilings, stained glass and extravagant furnishings. Public tours are available and the many yearly events are also not to be missed: such as the Victorian Garden Festival or the Candlelight Tour. They're perfect for everyone. Though closed through the month of January, the home is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Reservations are recommended.

With Bowling Green events and attractions, travelers are certain to find the thrills they seek (without forgetting the gentle appeal of McDaniels). It's the ultimate combination for the ultimate vacation.
