Sunset Sails begins its sailing tours out of Lighthouse Landing Marina. They provide two-hour evening and romantic sunset sails of Kentucky Lake. Also sail up to four hours on the weekend. Bring your picnic lunches and they'll take you to the perfect spot. Pay $75 for a two-hour evening sail. Weekend sails are $70. Fishing at Land Between the Lakes is something to consider. There are several types of bass, blue gills, catfish, bream, crappy and sauger swimming in Kentucky Lake. Anglers come here for the amenities available to them. There are boat ramps and back country fishing opportunities available. All you need is a state fishing license and gear. There are certain regulations to fish at the lakes. Contact the office for more information and details.

When you finish fishing, visit the elk and bison prairie. These animals live, thrive and are protected at the park. You should stay on the paved roads while traveling near the prairie. Visit the park office for safety advice and instructions.

Besides the bison and elk, other wildlife is prevalent at the park. Giant American white pelican with wingspreads up to nine feet, coyote, beaver, deer, rabbit and squirrel are some of the wildlife living here. During the summer months, hummingbird and migratory birds flock to the area. The spring months bring ospreys and nesting.

Other activities at the park include horseback riding, bike riding, canoeing, hiking and lake activities.

There are numerous things to do in this part of Kentucky Lake. The jetty provides fishing opportunities and the walking trails offer a nice light hike. Watching the sun set from this area is also a lovely event. You can do this near the lake or on the jetty.

The activities at this Kentucky Lake attraction offers you chances to dine, play and explore. Patti's restaurant is one of the most popular around the lake area. The settlement also features a rock climbing wall, miniature golf course and remote control cars. There's an animal park with wild and domesticated animals. Children love the playground and battery-operated boats. Adults participate in lovely strolls through extensive garden exhibitions. The biggest attraction is the log cabin village. This village displays life as it was in the 1800s.
