The tour prices are inexpensive at only $4 for children ages 6 to 12 and $8 for anyone above age 12. This historical village and museum can offer you a chance to peek into the little-known Shaker culture. The Shakers were only in the area for a little over 100 years, dying out around 1922. They believed in the simple life and lived it implicitly. Visit this interesting and educational museum and village for a unique historical experience.

Orchards and Nurseries are abundant in this area. Jackson's Orchard & Nursery Inc. is just a short 30-minute drive from any Auburn Inn. This Orchard has been in the same family since 1969 and trees have been growing here for around 70 years. Opening for the season around the middle of April each year, this orchard offers apples, peaches, preserves, butters, dressings, mixes, relishes and recipes for every occasion. You can pick your own apples from Labor Day through mid October, and it easy for people of any age and experience to do. During the spring season, the orchard offers vegetable and other plants and seeds that are easy to plant and grow at your home, and are easily transportable for vacationers. In addition to the fresh fruits, seasonal vegetables are also available. Come and pick your own apples, or if you have less time, buy from their fresh selection of fruits. Weekends in October offer activities during the annual Pumpkin Fest.
