This gallery is housed in the historic 1877 Volcano House in Volcanoes National Park. You’ll find art and fine crafts created by more than 300 artists. Apart from paintings and prints, the center features an impressive collection of sculpture, wood items, photography, art glass, ceramics and jewelry. A World Heritage Site, this farmhouse-turned art gallery is a mile from Volcanoes National Park. The building is constructed from California redwood and is surrounded by manicured gardens and nature trails that lead into rainforest. You’ll find both light-hearted and profound works of art here. The center provides creative space for artists, gardeners and writers from around the world. The gallery is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday. Entrance is free.

The art in this gallery, housed in the historic Hata Building, celebrates the vibrant colorful rainforests of the Big Island. It exhibits the works of some of the finest artists of Hawaii as well as a few international artists. There’s fine art, bronze, glass, koa furniture and more. The location of the gallery on Hilo Bay is breathtaking. Hilo is about 23 miles from Volcano. The New York Times has featured Dreams of Paradise as a gallery to visit in Hilo.

The Seaside Gallery located on the coast features the work of resident award-winning  artist Rosemary. She paints seascapes and flowers and is known for her pastels.

"I consider my work to be somewhat impressionistic yet realistic," says Rosemary. "At the same time, I want to show my emotions toward the wonderful world we live in. I am passionate about the ocean, flowers, and the gorgeous Hawaiian foliage we have here."

Her work has been exhibited in various countries and adds beauty to the Hualalai Four Seasons Resort and the Holualoa Estates. Kona is 35 miles from Volcano.
