This lighthouse station originated in 1732 and has been beautifully renovated. It can be visited for the cost of about $7 per adult, as of December 2010. Taking the steps to the top of the lighthouse offers a gorgeous view of the island. The museum is located just across the road.

Learn about the Civil War and have fun while you're doing it at the beautifully restored Fort Pulaski National Monument. The fort is surrounded by a moat, along with a drawbridge to enter it. Knowledgeable tour guides offer an approximate 60- to 90-minute tour of the grounds. Besides the fort and cannonball demonstrations, an informative 15-minute video in the theatre inside of the museum is great to watch. The underground tunnels are a must to see. Cost for the Fort Pulaski National Monument is about $3 per adult, and it's free for individuals under the age of 17. It can be accessed easily from your Tybee Island inn.

Fabulous three-hour Kayaking Eco-Tours are $50 per adult and $35 for children age 10 and under. Longer tours of six hours are $100 per adult and $85 for children 10 and under. These tours run daily and the price includes a picnic-style lunch. Safe kayaks can be rented for a full day for the price of $40 for a single kayak and $55 for a double kayak.
