Entrance to head up to the summit is $10 or $12 per person (depending on the time of year) or $35 or $40 per carload. The entrance gates are open most of the day, but do check the times beforehand as they change with the seasons. The USAF Academy is one of the most prestigious schools in the USA, and you can take the opportunity to explore Arnold Hall, the Fieldhouse, the Athletic Center and the Stadium. There are several overlooks that afford scenic views of the surrounding area, but the Cadet Chapel is the crowning glory of the campus. The campus is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the visitor's center holding opening hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. You will not be permitted to walk around with a large bag or backpack.

This beautiful castle nestled at the foot of the mountains amidst towering pines is used now as a Christian Retreat, offering various events to rejuvenate the spirit. However, it's also open to daily viewings and tours. Tours are offered daily at 1 p.m. for just $6 per person, including a video. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and requires a reservation, so call ahead. There are further tours offered during the peak season between Memorial Day and Labor Day. You can also attend one of the daily teas, again reservations are required.
