Located in the heart of uptown Denver, DPAC is the largest performing arts center under one roof, providing 10 performance areas in the same location. Topped by an 80-foot glass roof, and flanked by a 1,700-vehicle parking garage, the theater venues are accessed from a piazza-like central area, only a short drive from your Denver Inn. The 4-block, 12-acre site includes an eclectic collection of historic buildings and state-of-the-art facilities. The 4 major theater/concert venues in the Denver Performing Arts Complex are:

  • The Temple Buell Hoyne Theater--The Buell Theater is Denver's main venue for major, high-profile, traveling Broadway shows. The 2,800-seat theater is renowned for its acoustics.
  • Boettcher Concert Hall--The nation's first concert hall in-the-round, Boettcher seats 2,634, and due to the unique layout, each seat provides close proximity to the stage.
  • Ellie Caulkins Opera House--The Ellie, a world-class acoustical hall, is designed in the lyrical style and encompasses 4 levels. In Denver's notoriously dry air, the opera house is humidified. Seating approximately 2,000, The Ellie draws top opera talent.
  • The Helen Bonfils Theater Complex--HBT houses several small venues including:
    • The State Theater: a 778-seat theater that draws Tony Award-winning plays.
    • The Space Theater: a 550-seat theater-in-the-round.
