This is a chance for every visitor to get close and feel the power of the falls. It's probably the oldest attraction in Niagara Falls. The Maid of the Mist boat tour takes you down the river close to the falls. There are four boats that operate from both the United States and the Canadian border. The trip will take you across the American and Bridal Veil Falls, through the Horseshoe Falls and into the mist. Trips are available daily from mid-May to the 24th of October. White Water Walk is one of the most popular Niagara Falls things to do. This attraction allows you to take a walk like never before. You will walk on the boardwalk at the edge of the wildest whitewater in the world. At the attraction you will take the elevator which leads you down and then walk along the 73-meter tunnel that leads to the boardwalk. This is one attraction you should not miss, the feeling you get while walking on the boardwalk is just exhilarating. The entrance to the attraction is located near the Ontario bus and train station.
Sir Adam Beck Generating Station

This generating station is another popular place to visit at the Niagara Falls River. The generating station has been in use since 1958 and is one of the largest hydroelectric plants in Ontario. There is a 40-minute guided tour of the station; the tour also includes an interactive video area. One thing to note is that bags, backpacks and purses are not allowed on the tour. Parking is also available.
