The Livery is a Goderich theater located in one of the historic buildings in town. The community stage comes alive with dramas, comedies and more, with the help of hundreds of volunteers. It also shows a variety of national and international film series that would not normally be available in this area. The theater hosts several events and festivals in the community, which promote theater, music and film. You can purchase tickets for theatrical events at the box office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Goderich Co-op Gallery is a great way to experience some of the local art. The gallery opened in 2002, and is available for artists in the community to display their work. These member artists are also involved in the running of the business, so it is really a cooperative effort. The gallery hosts lectures and demonstrations throughout the year, and the artists are often featured at other cultural venues in the area. The art exhibits change often, and you can view them Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Goderich Celtic Roots Festival

The Celtic Roots Festival happens each year in August, and is a tribute to Goderich's Celtic heritage. This festival brings artists together from all walks of life including music, art, dance and more. Each year before the festival, these artists team up to hold the Celtic College, where they host workshops over a wide range of subjects concerning Celtic heritage. Tuition starts at $345 for 2011. There's also a kid's day camp for those who are too young to attend the Celtic College. Kids can learn to play a Celtic instrument, make crafts and many more fun things while attending the camp. If you plan to attend the Celtic Roots Festival, you can purchase tickets in advance online. Weekend passes start at $55 for the 2011 festival. Events kick off on the main stage on Friday night at 5:00 p.m. and closing ceremonies are at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday night. Enjoy the festival before heading back to your Goderich inn for the night.
