Riverside Golf Course was built in 1939 as a WPA (Works Progress Administration) project. Set along the San Joaquin River, the course features tree-lined fairways meandering over gently rolling hills. Very small greens surrounded by bunkers put golfers on notice to plan their shots carefully to avoid the sand traps. This public golf course is a par 72, 6,636 yard test of patience and skill. The Riverside Golf Academy offers both group and private golf lessons. There is a lighted practice facility where you can work on your wedge shots, and there are two chipping greens and a practice bunker, so you can get the feel of the course. The Trestle, the course's restaurant, can accommodate up to 150 people in a pleasant patio setting overlooking the river. After a tough but fun filled day on the links, you'll appreciate the comforts of your Sanger bed and breakfast.

Ridge Creek, opened in 2008, is owned by the city of Dinuba. This golf course was specifically designed to use reclaimed water from the city and use state-of-the-art science to irrigate the playing areas. The design uses natural grasses and bunkers to produce a heathland (well-drained, rock free, sandy soils) golf experience like that found in the classic courses of England. At par 72 and 7,482 yards, Ridge Creek is a tough course. Hole # 15 is one of the longest par 5 holes in the state, reaching 653 yards. Be sure to try Three Finger Jack's Restaurant and Bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner right on the course. When the sun begins to set, it's time to head back to your Sanger inn.
