Take a Romantic Walk Along the Pacific Grove Beach

For those travelers who love the warm weather, Pacific Grove Beach, located in the sunny state of California is a fun and beautiful place to visit no matter what time of year you prefer to vacation. Take a romantic stroll along this beautiful Pacific Grove Beach on the boardwalk, through the dunes, along the coastline or even through the forests that this State Park and Beach has to offer. In addition to the sandy coves, you can also find rocky hideouts as well that can provide plenty of spots for romance. Take a walk down the beach, have a picnic with your special someone, or ride your bike along the bike paths provided.

There are beach wheelchairs, made especially to handle the sand, for those who need them. Dogs are allowed on the beach as well, but must be leashed and under control of the owner at all times. Fees are required for entrance; however this beach does have special and annual passes for those who plan on staying for an extended period of time.

Point Pinos Lighthouse is another great place to visit that is also near any Pacific Grove Inn. Built in 1855 this lighthouse has been in operation ever since and remains the oldest lighthouse still in use on the west coast. It is open Thursday through Monday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for self-guided tours. No entrance fee is charged, however a donation of a few dollars is suggested so that this lighthouse may continue to operate.

You can volunteer here as well, and with the beautiful surrounding rocks and beaches you are sure to enjoy this beautiful and often romantic spot.

The Monarch Grove Sanctuary is a beautiful place for couples to spend some romantic time together. Open from dawn to dusk daily, this special sanctuary offers a spot in which butterflies are protected. These beautiful creatures migrate annually in early October of each year. The locals have a great love for these winged insects and look forward to their arrival each year. 

This grove, close to any Pacific Grove beach is a highly protected area and has been nicknamed "Butterfly Town U.S.A."

Visit the Monterrey Peninsula for another breathtaking view. This spot has various outdoor activities and hikes available just a few minutes from your Pacific Grove Bed and Breakfast. If you are getting married you can also enjoy the beach wedding ceremonies, as well as various spas and other amenities. You can also rent kayaks, bikes, surreys, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment and even wetsuits.

In addition to the water sports, play sand volleyball at the provided courts, have a romantic walk or picnic along the beach, visit surrounding romantic spas or just spend time alone together.
