There is an area specifically set up for these things. If you enjoy canoeing or kayaking, the river is perfect for these activities. Steelhead Beach is open from sunrise to sunset. The entry fees are $6 per vehicle. Although the beach is without a lifeguard, it is considered safe for water activities. However, you should ask for more information regarding this when you contact the Visitor Center.

This relaxing family beach features calm waters for swimming, canoeing and other aquatic activities. A trail for hiking or walking is also available to you. Fishing is good but challenging to most who take part in the activity. This beach is open from sunrise to sunset, but a listing of hours is posted when you arrive.

The Forestville Youth Park is a place where parades, music and other great attractions happen. An annual barbecue and golf tournament are held at the park for guests and the locals. Free live music is a plus on the weekends. When these things aren't happening, the park is a wonderful place just to spend the day.
