In the southern curl of California is Descanso, a small village with great appeal: it's a mere hour away from San Diego downtown attractions. And, while some may scoff at that, preffering the rugged landscapes and white-shore lakes Descanso is known for, all will eventually understand the importance of a city being so close. It becomes the much-needed distraction. Even the most enthusiastic of sportsmen, after all, will eventually need more than mountains. And San Diego will provide it. BBOnline recommends finding more than summer days for your next vacation. Instead enjoy all things cultural.
