I have used this as a "waffle topping" and it has become a favorite of our guests. You can add sliced strawberries or bananas on top of the apple topping. I also make an extra batch of the brown sugar sauce and use it like syrup. It is delicious.
4 large tart apples, peeled and cored, cut into 1/4" slices Melt butter, add apples. Cook 6-7 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in water, add to skillet. Add brown sugar and raisins. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add lemon juice. Serve warm.
