Introduction
Robinwood Bed & Breakfast takes you back to another era - one of elegance, style and grace. The circa 1913 Prairie-style structure maintains all of its charm and beauty while offering guests all the modern amenities. You might say Robinwood is where Frank Lloyd Wright meets High Def TV and wireless Internet!
Located in the Quapaw Quarter Historic District in downtown Little Rock, the classic front porch offers a great way to wile away an afternoon. Inside our two sunrooms are bright, cheerful and comfortable and the upstairs sunroom offers a commanding view of the neighborhood.
We invite you to come stay with us and escape to a simpler time with all the fun, amenities and
nightlife of today not far away. Have the best of BOTH worlds at Robinwood Bed and Breakfast.
In 1913, America was enjoying the opening of the Panama Canal, Grand Central Station in New York and Henry Ford's new invention, the moving assembly line. In Little Rock, J. Rodgers Young, owner of the Hotel Main built a Prairie-style home inspired by the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright. Today Robinwood Bed and Breakfast is one of the few examples of the Prairie-style in Little Rock. This home features a horizontal roofline that contrasts from the extreme vertical lines of the Victorians and the rooms were designed to flow smoothly into each other.
Our large living room features two marble fireplaces with gas logs and opens into the dining room with our magnificent 10 seat dining table. Outside the sprawling, wrap-around porch is the perfect place to sit and watch the neighborhood go by. Sunrooms fill the house with southern light on two floors. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the lower sunroom while the second floor sunroom offers a bird's eye view of the neighborhood.

You'll view the oldest part of the city and see some meticulously restored structures.
The South Main Street historic district, not far from where you are staying, offers both dining and nightlife opportunities. A few blocks over is the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, one of the finest theatre companies in the country, where you can see live productions in season. The north end of Main Street is where the River Market District is located and something is always going on. Restaurants -- from sports bars and casual hang-outs to elegant upscale eateries - are plentiful here as are entertainment options.
The Arkansas Museum of Discovery calls this area home and provides interactive fun for children and adults alike. Down Markham a few blocks is the Old State House Museum, a stunning Greek Revival structure that is the oldest existing capitol building west of the Mississippi. A couple of blocks from there is the Historic Arkansas Museum which includes the oldest structures still standing in Little Rock.
While in the River Market District, don't miss the Clinton Presidential Center and Park. The largest collection of presidential memorabilia in the country, the library offers insight into both the public and privates lives of the 42nd president and his family. Next door is Heifer International World Headquarters, houses in an award-winning environmentally friendly building. Tours are available.
In addition to the performing arts, there is ample opportunity to enjoy the visual arts. The largest of these is the Arkansas Arts Center, located in MacArthur Park in the same-named historic area. The acclaimed center has a world-renowned collection of works on paper along with other art pieces. National touring exhibits, theatre classes and productions plus an "artsy" gift shop and excellent restaurant are also found here. Don't miss the Old Arsenal next door where General Douglas MacArthur was born. It now houses the Museum of Arkansas Military History.
