Local rivers and lakes provide water enthusiastsexcellent fishing and the chance to canoe, kayak, swim, boat, dive, or rent personal water recreation equipment.
Many enjoy bike trails, hiking, birding, and trail rides. Bull Shoals White River State Park has opened a new bike trail yards from Old Ferry Road. Hikers will enjoy the freedom to explore our 300 acres with 5 ponds and 2 springs or take a nearby nature trail. Bird watching brings guests to the area, and many come for the Eagle awareness program each winter.
Local stables offer trail rides for riders of all experience levels.
The Natural State Golf Trail includes the Big Creek course in Mountain Home. One of only 16 courses in the USA to receive a five-star rating from Golf Digest's "Places To Play" in May 2004, defined as "Golf at its absolute best. Pay any price at least once in your life." Also rated fifth in the USA in Service and eighth in Top Courses in Conditioning by Golf Digest's Places To Play - Big Creek and Country Club, designed by Thomas Clark with Ault, Clark and Associates, sprawls over 200 acres featuring four lakes, Big Creek, white sand bunkers, lush zoysia fairways and bent grass greens. Challenging, yet enjoyable. A state-of-the-art practice facility features a three-tiered driving range, separate putting and chipping greens, and a large practice bunker to improve your game.
Big Creek extends a reduced price schedule to area guests. $36 per person weekdays, $46 per person weekends, $14 per cart.

Indoor recreation includes bowling, dancing, Community Theater, or movies. Those with an interest in art, crafts, and antiques will have shopping opportunities and several local festivals and shows from which to choose.
We are just 80 Miles from Branson. Enjoy a show, shopping or dinner and then return to Old Ferry Road B&B for the evening.
In nearby Mountain Home you can leave your worries at the door step of a day spa or med spa. You can choose one of several packages offered at the day spa including options for lunch, massage, manicure, pedicure and more. The med spa's focus is on wellness and offers services including facials, manicures, body wraps, botox, sun damage repair treatments, and cozy robes and slippers to wear while you sip tea in the relaxation room.
If you prefer to have your pampering at Old Ferry Road Bed and Breakfast, a licensed massage therapist can come here to soothe those aching muscles.
Bull Shoals Theater hosts a free jam session each Monday at 6 PM plus special music, drama, educational, and variety show presentations throughout the year. Gathering location for group retreats wishing to meet for small seminars, crafting, hobbies, or special interests.
