Your eyes will feast on the mansion's late Victorian décor - original broadcloth wall coverings, original fireplaces, adorned with masterful wood mantles and ceramic tile, curtains elegantly draped and pillowed, quarter sawn oak woodwork, tastefully displayed antique furniture, original light fixtures and inviting individually decorated bedrooms and baths - each promising to its guest a night of rest and relaxation.

The home is heated with steam heat and boasts magnificent original ornate iron radiators. The rooms have today's modern conveniences. Each is furnished with its own private bath, air conditioning, cable TV and phone.

Guests at Magnolia Hill Bed & Breakfast can relax in the serenity of the Carriage Square's Victorian Gardens. Enter the Victorian Gardens at Carriage Square through the grand scrolled wrought iron gate. Arrive in a horse drawn carriage or vintage automobile. Our lovely garden features a gazebo and stage. Beautiful flowers and foliage line the paths surrounding the green belt able to accommodate up to 300 guests. Our Victorian Gardens provide the perfect setting for ceremonies or events as intimate or as grand as you desire. Inquire about themed events. This Southern Plantation Home beckons visitors with graceful elegance from a bygone era. Built in 1925 by C.E. Allen and acquired by Lafe Solomon in 1926, the home is listed on the National Historic Registry. As you enter the foyer, you see the grand stairway leading to the shoppes on the 2nd floor; to the left are the closed French doors which open to the restaurant; to your right your eyes are captivated by the magnificent French crystal chandelier in the spacious parlor. It is an awesome moment as your eyes drink in the splendor of this historical home. The stories she could share of the Gatsby era when the parlor was magically changed to a grand ballroom - with the gentlemen sharing cigars & port in the trophy room and the ladies exchanging tales in the salon.
