Introduction

Nestled among majestic oaks and pastoral fields on 69 acres, Country Oaks Bed & Breakfast consists of two recently built, turn of the century styled homes: a Victorian Farm House and an oak timber-framed Carriage House. Only a few hundred yards from the buildings, a 7 acre lake was carved into the property to enhance the already beautiful setting and offer guests the unique opportunity to fish right on the property.

At Country Oaks you can experience the warmth and grandeur of years gone by with all of the modern amenities and comforts of today. Catering to the adult traveler, the Inn is located just one mile from the Mountain View, Arkansas Courtsquare, famous for its old time music each summer evening. The Inn is far enough away from town to provide guests a peaceful setting in which to relax and enjoy the beautiful Ozark countryside.

Country Oaks' 7 acre private lake
is just part of our 69 acre grounds.

Farm House Dining Room Full breakfasts are served in the Farm House dining room. Breakfast menus, which vary each morning, are prepared with farm fresh eggs, always include fruit, and one of our famous fruit juice smoothies.

Country Oaks' 7 acre private lake, offers guests great catch and release fishing from the bank only a few steps from the front door. Stocked with catfish, largemouth bass, blue gill and crappie, the lake offers guests a unique fishing experience. Try to beat the lake record 10 pound largemouth taken in 2003, or the 2 1/2 pound Crappie!

Leisurely stroll around our lake experiencing the fantastic reflections of the Ozark scenery and the stunning sunsets mirrored in the lake. Relax on one of the many porches or benches around the property while reading a book, visiting with other guests or enjoying the surrounding Ozark scenery. Or, pitch a game of horseshoes on the shaded court. Have Dusty, the inn dog, lead you on one of the 2.5 miles of hiking trails around the property and you birders will be amazed at the variety of birds you will see here on the property.

Wireless Internet Service is Now Available in Our Farm House.

Carriage House
The Carriage House is an authentic oak timber framed building completed in 1993 and owner-designed specifically as a bed and breakfast. Deep porches wrap two sides of the house on the first floor. A second floor balcony, off the upstairs parlor, also has seating with a view across the large circle drive and the private lake. The Carriage House offers three guestrooms, Grandma's Room, The Bride's Room and The Children's Room. The two and a half story Farm House was completed in 1998 and was styled after the large turn of the century farm houses of that glorious era. Porches almost completely surround the building and provide comfortable seating with views across the property. The Farm House offers five guestrooms: Oak Room, Garden Room, Grandpa's Room, Kitty Room and Sewing Room.

On Site Activities at Country Oaks

Country Oaks offers guests a variety of activities without ever having to leave the property. We have a horseshoe court, two and a half miles of mowed hiking trails, catch and releasing fishing on our private 7 acre lake (no fishing license required, and we have some poles and tackle although we recommend you bring your own), lawn darts, and for those of you who are "birders", guests have already identified over 50 varieties of birds. There are benches along the trails from which you can observe the spectacular scenery surrounding Country Oaks.

If you'd rather just wile away the day in a comfortable chair and read, there are two parlors in each of the buildings, and both buildings have lots of porch space if you enjoy having the beautiful scenery in the background. Porches have ceiling fans for summer when the breeze has disappeared.
