The Buffalo River Lodge is located 14 miles southwest of Yellville, AR on MC5032 Road off of Arkansas Scenic Hwy 14, only 2.4 miles from the Buffalo National River at North Maumee Landing. Maumee is one of the major canoe input locations in the Buffalo Point National Park area.
To reach the Buffalo River Lodge from the North
Take Scenic Hwy 14 east (you will actually be heading south) out of Yellville for ten miles to MC5032 Road. There is a Buffalo River Lodge Billboard on Hwy 14 just before reaching MC5032 Road. There is a small "Caney" Community sign right before the intersection. There is also a sign with the word Maumee and an arrow indicating to turn on MC5032. Turn right on MC5032 and go 4 miles to the Lodge. The last 1/2 mile is gravel road.
To reach the Buffalo River Lodge from the South
Take Scenic Hwy 14 west (you will actually be heading north) across the Buffalo National River and continue for about 5 miles to MC5032 Road. You will pass the Caney Fire Department building 1/2 mile before reaching MC5032 Road. There is a small "Caney" Community sign just before the intersection. There is also a sign with the word Maumee and an arrow indicating to turn on MC5032. Turn left on MC5032 and go 4 miles to the Lodge. The last 1/2 mile is gravel road.
