Meet Your Innkeepers  Diann & Carl Cruickshank
Diann is the Director of Gadsden State Community College's Cherokee County Center. Prior to this, she worked as an Initiative Counselor in Student Support Services and as an Admissions Counselor at GSCC. Diann was also a high school counselor for 20 years at Cherokee County High School in Centre, Alabama. Diann was reared in Hueytown, Alabama and graduated from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.

Carl retired several years ago from the outdoor advertising business which moved him from his home state of Michigan to California, Nevada, Florida and Georgia. Knowing that his retirement years were nearing, Carl drew a circle on a map within a hundred mile radius of Atlanta. He was looking for lake property and found Weiss Lake in Cherokee County. After several visits he purchased a fish camp and was enjoying retirement and fishing every day -- until the night he stopped by Muffin's 50's Cafe for dinner...
