The Original Romar House Bed & Breakfast Inn has five individually appointed rooms, one suite, and one guest cottage. Each of the rooms and cottage is named after a local festival or a name unique to the Romar House.

  • No children allowed.
  • Smoking permitted in The Purple Parrot Bar and on the deck. No smoking allowed in the rooms.
  • Please no pets allowed.
  • Wireless Internet throughout the entire house.
  • Advance deposit of one night's stay required to confirm reservations.
  • A two-night minimum stay is required for weekends.
  • We accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard and American Express.
  • The remaining balance of your stay's charges are due at check-out.
  • A cancellation refund requires a seven-day notice.
  • Check-out is 11 a.m. Check-in is 4 p.m.

This is a SMALL room that is named after Jerry Gilbreath, the proprietor, who stayed in this room for several years after his "house" became a bed & breakfast inn. Darrell rents it out to singles or even two (2) guests waiting to get into a regular room.

Schedule of Tariff

  • Summer Season (May 1 Through Labor day) $229
  • Fall Seaon (After Labor Day Through November 15) $179
  • Winter Season(November 16-February 28) $129
  • Spring Season (March 1- April 30) $179
  • Ask about the Romar Suite; Guest Cottage, and The Captains's Quarters Room.
  • The tariff for a room is based on single or double occupancy.
  • All rooms subject to state and local taxes.
  • Room tariff may change for holidays, festivals and special events.
  • The tariff for a room includes lodging with a queen-size bed, a sumptuous Southern Breakfast, complimentary evening wine and cheese in The Purple Parrot Bar, off-street parking, morning paper on the deck, heated swimming pool, access to the beach for swimming, and the relaxing use of the hot-tub whirlpool jacuzzi.
