We are closed at this time due to Hurrican Ivan. But we are opening soon!
Thank you for all of the emails that many of you have sent to check on us and The Original Romar House! We are currently under re-construction and are 85% complete. We are putting the final touches on the place to make it one of the finest Bed and Breakfasts in America! We are currently accepting guests for Memorial Day Weekend, May 23, 2008. As the golden sun disappears beyond the white sandy beach, another memorable evening begins at The Original Romar House, Alabama's first seaside Bed and Breakfast Inn. Wake up to rediscover romance in a charmingly historic atmosphere, as the sun streams through the stained glass windows of your individually appointed room.

After breakfast, take a morning swim in the heated pool or stroll along the beach collecting seashells, curl up in a cypress swing or hammock and read a book, or relax in the hot-tub whirlpool spa.

The Original Romar House has five individually appointed rooms and suite and one guest cottage; all with private bath. The Purple Parrot Bar is an honor bar open to our guest and their friends. Closed Sunday.
