Montrose Hideaway Bed-and-Breakfast Retreat may be tucked away, but it is easy to find. Located in Montrose, our driveway is the first driveway south of the Daphne city limits on Main Street (Scenic Highway 98). From U.S. Highway 98 heading north from Fairhope: After leaving Fairhope, watch for the intersection with Highway 104; turn left at the traffic light. When coming to a two-way stop just around the curve, continue straight through the intersection. From this point you are on Main Street (Scenic Highway 98). Our driveway is on the left 2.4 miles from the stop; it is the next possible left after passing North Winding Brook on your left. Turn left into our long driveway where you see our bright-blue sign and split-rail fence. (Note: A left-curve sign for the next curve beyond us practically points at our driveway as you come up the hill.) From I-10 onto U.S. Highway 98 heading south toward Fairhope: Take the exit for Spanish Fort, Fairhope and Daphne, heading south on U.S. Highway 98 East. Go approximately 5.5 miles to Ryan Avenue (the first street after mile marker 41) and turn right. (There is a Mazda dealership on the corner.) Go to the end of Ryan Avenue and turn left onto Main Street. The entrance to our driveway is on the right exactly 2/10 of a mile from Ryan Avenue. Turn into our driveway where you see our bright-blue sign and split-rail fence. If coming in after dark, know that our driveway is slightly before a 20-mph curve sign and there is a fire hydrant next to our driveway, so a blue reflector in the road marks the spot. And if we’ve had a sunny day, the sign, the area in front of our split-rail fence and the driveway should be illuminated with solar ground lighting. PLEASE USE THESE DIRECTIONS: Our address will not show up under MapQuest or any GPS mapping systems; it will send you to the other side of town as the "closest match." However, if you insist on using a GPS mapping system, our location is at "N 30 degrees 16.891 feet" and "W 087 degrees 41.053 feet," or you can put in our neighbor's address (505 Main St., Daphne) to get within a few feet of our entrance. At the end of the gravel drive, keep to the right and follow the circle around the gazebo to the main entrance of the house.
