Eufaula is located approximately 90 miles Southeast of Montgomery, Alabama along the Alabama-Georgia border and offers some very nice B&Bs. Each April, people engage in the oldest historic homes tour in Alabama during the Annual Eufaula Pilgrimage. Every year more than 10,000 anglers fish the waters of Lake Eufaula, which has become one of the newest tournament spots one the B.A.S.S. trail. The Eufaula Historical Museum is housed in the Shorter Mansion and Museum, built in 1884. One of the biggest attractions in Eufaula is Lake Eufaula, covering more than 45,000 acres with over 640 miles of shoreline. It is a "big bass" paradise. Those visiting Eufaula for its wonderful natural features and ample fishing opportunities will enjoy the accommodations at a nearby Eufaula bed and breakfast or Eufaula inn. Although most of the usual fast food joints are here, visitors to Eufaula will want to check out some of the locals favorite eateries, such as the Lakepoint Resort located at on Highway 431 North.
