Fishing
You have many options when it comes to fishing! We work with the best guides around and are happy to book your fishing excursions for you with your reservation, to make sure that you get a quality guide and a chance to limit out on the Wonderful Alaskan Salmon! There are many public access spots at which you can fish, however they do get very crowded when the fishing is in full swing. We also have a private dock on the Kenai River and allow our guests to enjoy fishing from it for salmon (king, silver, pink, and sockeye), trout and steelhead.
As a guest of ours, we allow you to relax and enjoy the fishing. We also suggest going out Halibut fishing and try your hand at catching a true "Barn Door" (that's what a large 200+ pound Halibut is called). We have a cleaning station for you to use to clean your catch as well as freezer space to keep it cold and ready for the trip home. If you have questions about where to fish or are looking for a river or ocean guide, just let us know and we will be happy to help you.
We recommend you bring waist or chest waders, quality rain gear and warm clothing for layering. During our summer, Alaskan temperatures can reach 80 degrees but when it rains, one might feel uncomfortable unless properly dressed. If you want to bring one of your own favorite rods, feel free to do so, as there are a lot of wonderful bodies of water to fish around here. If you have questions as to what type of tackle you might want to bring, please feel free to give us a call or send us an Email. PLEASE NOTE: most guides provide all the equipment you will need while you are fishing with them.
